Installation
Install HDL Ripper
Install the preview for your platform, verify the download, and understand the checks that apply to your system.
1. Download the package
Choose the package for your operating system and processor architecture on the download page. Use the checksum copy action to keep the full published SHA-256 value if you want to compare the downloaded bytes with the catalog entry.
Windows
Run the Windows x64 setup program and follow the installer prompts. The published Windows preview is not Authenticode-signed, and native Windows installation and interactive use are not verified in the release evidence.
macOS
Open the DMG for your Mac architecture and copy HDL Ripper as directed by macOS. The published macOS previews are ad-hoc signed, not Developer ID-signed or notarized. Native installation, headless analysis and real counter simulation were checked on this architecture; native interactive use remains unverified.
2. Compare the checksum
A SHA-256 checksum compares the downloaded file with the published bytes. It does not verify an update signature, Authenticode or Developer ID signing, or Apple notarization.
3. Launch and check the limitations
Start HDL Ripper and read the release notes for your version and platform before relying on a workflow. Quick simulation requires Icarus Verilog (iverilog and vvp) on the application process PATH; the installer does not include a simulator.
